Some objects were not advertised directly by newhome. These are external ads that were imported from another real estate platform.

In the section “Original advertisement and contact on:” you will find the link(s) to the original advertisement as well as contact information.

Login

Click on “Register” at the top right on www.newhome.ch. If you are using a mobile device, you will find the login option by selecting the “More” menu item at the bottom right. Click on “Register” at the very bottom. Enter your chosen email address and password. You will receive a confirmation email to complete your registration. If you do not confirm your registration via the link in the email, the system will delete all the data you entered in the registration process.

Click on “Register” at the top right on www.newhome.ch If you are using a mobile device, you will find the login option by selecting the “More” menu item at the bottom right. Click on the link “Forgot your password?”. Enter your email address. This must match the email address saved in your user profile. You will then receive an email with a link to reset your password. Click on the link in the email and choose a new password. Then press “Save”.

If you have entered an incorrect password five times, your account will be automatically locked for security reasons. To unlock your account, please contact us.

To delete your user account, log in to your user account. Under “My newhome” click on “User account”, scroll down to the heading “Login details” and click on “Delete account”. You will then receive an email with a link via which you can permanently delete your user account.

To delete your details on newhome, log in to your user account. Under “My newhome” click on “User account” and scroll down to the heading “Login details”. You can change your password and email address there. You can also delete your user account.

Advertise

As a private customer, you can publish a maximum of two listings simultaneously free of charge. From the third listing onwards, the publication is subject to a fee.

As a matter of principle, we do not create listings for private or professional property providers. If a listing does not meet the requirements listed in our Insertion and Usage Policy, newhome expressly reserves the right to make minor changes directly to the listing or to request changes by the user.

If you have published a new listing, your property will be checked for compliance with our Insertion and Usage Policy (status: “under review”). During this time, the listing is reviewed to ensure that it complies with our Insertion and Usage Policy.

  • If the listing fails to meet newhome’s quality standards, it will be rejected. The status will then change to “rejected”. For more information, please read our Insertion and Usage Policy
  • If the listing meets our quality requirements, it will be approved by the designated reviewer. The status of your listing will then change to “active”.
  • The “inactive” status means that the listing is not live at this time. You can activate the listing in the listing management area (My newhome > My listings) at any time. Listings with the “inactive” status are permanently deleted after 30 days.

If you edit (modify) and then republish an existing listing, it will be set to “under review”. However, your original listing will retain its “active” status and still be visible to searchers. This ensures that, even during modifications, your listing can be found by prospective buyers.

You can reactivate your listing in the listing management area (My newhome > My listings). Click on “Further actions” and choose “activate” for the desired listing. Alternatively, you can click on the “Publish listing” button when editing your listing.

An inactive listing remains in your listing management area for a maximum of 30 days (retention period). After 20 days of inactivity you will be informed by email that your inactive listing will be deleted in 10 days unless it is activated or archived.

There is no way to pause a listing. If you wish to store it for a longer period, it must be archived. This service is subject to a fee.

The one-time archiving costs per listing are CHF 9.00 (incl. VAT). The listing can subsequently be reactivated and re-archived as often as required.

In some cases, payment on account is possible for archiving. A surcharge of CHF 9.00 is added to the archiving costs.

If you want to reactivate your archived listing, go to My newhome > “My listings”. Choose “Archived” as a value for the filter “Status” and click on “Reactivate” next to the listing you wish to reactivate. Please note that all images are only visible when the listing is set to active.

If you want to delete or deactivate your listing, go to your listing management area (My newhome > My listings). Click on “Further actions” and choose “Delete” or “Deactivate” to remove/deactivate the desired listing.

If you want to edit your listing, go to your listing management area (My newhome > My listings). Click on “Further Actions” and choose “Edit” for the desired listing. Your listing will be set to “under review” again; however, it will remain visible on newhome during this time.

It usually takes one working day to review and approve a listing. Properties are not reviewed or approved on weekends or public holidays.

Problems uploading pictures typically occur for the following reasons:

  • Problem: the image is too big (max. file size: 8MB) – newhome cancels the upload automatically if it takes too long.
    Solution: reduce the size of your images to the minimum necessary and use a compression program if necessary.
  • Problem: the file path to your saved image is too long – newhome occasionally has problems with paths that are too long.
    Solution: if necessary, copy your image to a higher level of your directory structure or to a USB stick before uploading.
    Example:

instead of: C:\data\properties\appenzell\highstreet\floor1\images\bathroom.jpg
use:  C:\images\bathroom.jpg or C:\bathroom.jpg

  • Always select your images via “Browse” instead of entering the path manually – this is also a common source of errors.
  • newhome only accepts images in the formats *.jpg, *jpeg, *.gif or *.png.

The pictures are an indicator of quality and the best way to illustrate the property. Listings without pictures are often overlooked by searchers.

Search subscriptions

You can create a subscription for your search via the button “Save search subscription”. A dialogue window will open, in which you can give your search subscription a title and choose how often and in what form you would like to be informed about new matches. You will then receive an email with a link to confirm the search subscription.

You can view the matches from your search subscriptions in your user account via “My newhome” / “Search subscription”. Alternatively, select “Search subscription” directly from the home page.

The number of matches reported in the email reflects the number of matches at the time the email was sent. By contrast, the match list in your search subscription contains all the latest matches – including new matches that were published after the email was sent.

Search subscriptions are continuously updated. New matches are automatically displayed in your search subscription. When you set up your search subscription, you can choose to receive notifications immediately or daily.

The search subscription overview in your user account (My newhome > Search subscription) lists all your search subscriptions. By clicking “View matches” you can display the matches for the corresponding subscription.

Search subscriptions cannot be modified. Delete any search subscriptions that are no longer needed and create a new subscription using the desired criteria.

If you no longer need a search subscription, simply delete it. To do this, go to the management area and click the button “Delete search subscription”.

Each search subscription has a duration of 360 days. After this period, you can continue to use the search, but no email or SMS notifications will be sent. This ensures that you will not receive unwanted emails or texts for prolonged periods.

The purpose of search subscriptions is to continuously filter and display new properties from among the vast selection that is available on newhome. It is not possible to delete properties from search subscription results. To save interesting properties, use the watch list feature.

You can save individual listings to create a watch list of interesting properties. To do this, click the corresponding heart-shaped icon in the match list or the detailed view.

You can access your watch lists in your user account (My newhome > Open watch list) or directly from the home page.

Invoices

You will find the invoices for booked services in your user account (My newhome > Invoices).  You will also receive the invoices by email together with the booking confirmation.

newhome does not send invoices by post. You will find all invoices for booked services in your user account (My newhome > Invoices). You will also receive the invoices by email together with the booking confirmation.
