We ask you to use the latest version of the browser. You might get a warning, that it cannot be guaranteed, that everything works as it should when using an old version.

You can register on in just a few steps:

  1. Click “Login” at the top right on
  2. Click “Register” at the very bottom.
    Enter your desired e-mail address and password.
  3. To trigger the registration, please click “Register“.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email to complete your registration.
  5. If you do not confirm your registration via the link in the email, the system will delete all the data you entered in the registration process.

*Your password needs to be at least 10 figures long. It must consist of upper-& lowercase and special characters as well as digits.

For security reasons, your account will be locked if you enter your password incorrectly five times. To unlock the user account, you must reset the password.

If you forget your newhome password, it’s not a problem. You can easily reset it as follows:

  1. Click “Log in” at the top right on
    • If you are using a mobile device, you will find the login option by selecting the “More” menu item at the bottom right.
  2. Click on the link “Forgot your password?”.
  3. Enter your email address. This must match the email address saved in your user profile.
  4. You will then receive an email with a link to reset your password.
  5. Click on the link in the email and choose a new password and click “Save.
  6. You can now proceed to log in with your e-mail adresse and your new password.

You can adjust the data in your user account at any time:

  1. Click on “Log in” at the top right on
    • If you are using a mobile device, you will find the login option by selecting the “More” menu item at the bottom right.
  2. Click “User account“.
  3. You can now change all your data like you adress, your billing adress, your e-mail adress or even your password.
  4. As soon as you have changed everything as desired, you can click “Save” at the bottom.
  1. Click “My newhome“.
  2. Click “User account“.
  3. Scroll down until you get to the caption “Login details“.
  4. Click “Delete account”.
  5. You will receive an e-mail with a confirmation button/link for the irrevocable deletion of your user account. As long as you don’t click on that button/link, your user account wont be deleted. But as soon as you click on either of them, your user account with all the data relating to it will be irrevocable deleted. Due to privacy matters, it is not possible for us to restore any of your data.

Please note that the final deletion of the user account takes 30 days.

For new private customers who have never published an advertisement on, we offer the opportunity to do so for FREE for 15 days for a rental property.

The offer is aimed exclusively for private person looking for a new tenant and advertising the first time on Publication with FREE is free of charge for a rental property for a period of a maximum of  15 days. FREE allows the upload of max. 3 pictures (no photo collages), no floor plan and no anonymisation. An upgrade to CLASSIC with full functionality is possible at any time. 

If no extension is chosen, the listing will be deactivated after 15 days and deleted after further 30 days. If the listing is deactivated, it can be reactivated as CLASSIC for a fee at any time until it is deleted. The advertiser will be informed in advance of the deletion after 30 days.

Do you want to advertise rental and purchase properties as an individual or company flexibly, without a contract and without a basic fee? Then our CLASSIC product is right for you!

With CLASSIC, private individuals and companies can flexibly advertise rental and purchase properties on without a contract and without a basic fee. The insertion costs depend on the selected duration of 15, 30 or 60 days.

With CLASSIC, advertisers can upload up to 30 pictures, floor plans and documents, display virtual tours and advertise anonymously.

Before the end of the term, advertisers will be informed about the possibility of an extension of the publishing period.

If no extension is chosen, the listing is deactivated and deleted after a further 30 days. If the listing is deactivated, it can be reactivated or archived at any time until it is deleted. The advertiser will be informed in advance of the deletion.

Advertise CLASSIC here

To publish an advert, please proceed as followed:

  1. Click “Mein newhome”.
  2. Click “My adverts“.
  3. Click “Advertise“.

The following instructions help you to create a new advert with just a few steps:

  1. Property:
    • Enter a title.
    • Offer type, property type, sub-property type.
    • Add the location > You decide whether you want to enter only the town or also the exact address (tick “Publish street / no.”). If our marker is not set correctly, you can move it by grabing it with your mouse and placing it on the correct house. 
  2. Details:
    • Enter more detailed information about the object.
    • In the “Description” you can bring your object even closer to the searcher.
  3. Media:
    • Upload the floor plan, pictures and other documents.
      Attention: Please make sure that the documents and pictures are all object-related and that you upload at least one picture.
  4. Contact:
  5. You are almost done:
    • Select “Go to publish” and choose the term your listing should be online.
      • Optimisations:
        If you wish, you can book various optimisations here to give your ad more visibility
      • Anonymous publishing:
        Choose this in order to not show your contact details in the advert. (name and phone number)

We do our best to ensure that your advertisement is activated as quickly as possible. This usually takes a maximum of one working day. Objects are neither checked nor activated on weekends and public holidays.


We are happy to briefly explain the different statuses to you:

  • In progress: You have already created your listing, but it has not been completed and/or published now.  You can complete your listing at any time in the listing management area (My newhome > “My adverts“) and publish it. 
  • Under review: Before completely being published, the listing is reviewed to ensure that it complies with our general terms.
  • Rejected: If the listing fails to meet newhome’s quality standards, it will be rejected. For more information, please read our general terms.
  • Active: If the listing meets our quality requirements and is therefore published on
  • Inactive: The listing is not live at this time. You can activate the listing in the listing management area (My newhome > “My adverts“) at any time. 
    Listings with the “inactive” status are permanently deleted after 30 days.

We ensure that all advertisements comply with our advertising guidelines. This ensures the quality of the ads on our platform.

If you have received an e-mail, stating that you listing has been temporarily rejected your listing doesn’zt quite meet our guidelines.

To publish your listing, you only have to change what has been noted in the e-mail according to our guidelines and publish your listing again. Of course there will be no additional cost for another check and publication of your list if your term hasn’t come to an end already.

We do reserve the right to reject an advert due to our general terms

Below you will find examples of why an advert may be rejected:

  • property type is not correct
  • property has been advertised in the wrong location
  • property has the wrong price
  • contact details are insufficient
  • size of the living space is not correct
  • availability does not match the description
  • number of rooms does not match the description
  • telephone number/email not allowed in description (enter only in the given fields)
  • typographical exaggerations (special characters, multiple exclamation marks, etc.) are not permitted.
  • content is discriminatory
  • incorrect telephone number
  • none of the images given is corresponding to our insertion policy
  • object is already advertised
  • property is not situated in Switzerland
  • you have advertised the object more than once
  • sold properties may not be advertised
  • object is a search ad

Reasons for refusal of pictures:

  • picture contains aerial photographs:
    Aerial photographs must not violate the data protection law and the rules of personal privacy protection 
  • the publication of image material is protected:
    Maps or part of maps may not be published for copyright reasons
  • car registration plates are visible
  • private rooms of third parties are visible
  • persons are recognizable
  • copyrights are missing
  • picture is not property related
  • picture is a photo collage (not allowed in FREE)

We are a platform where no search advertisements can be published.

For searchers, images are a quality feature and illustrate how an object looks like. Listings without pictures are often not perceived enough by seekers.

If you cannot upload images, there may be various reasons for this:

  • Problem: the image is too big (max. file size: 13 MB) – newhome cancels the upload automatically if it takes too long.
  • Solution: reduce the size of your images to the minimum necessary and use a compression program if necessary.
  • Problem: the file path to your saved image is too long – newhome occasionally has problems with paths that are too long.
  • Solution: if necessary, copy your image to a higher level of your directory structure or to a USB stick before uploading.
    instead of: C:\data\properties\appenzell\highstreet\floor1\images\bathroom.jpg
    use:  C:\images\bathroom.jpg or C:\bathroom.jpg
  • Always select your images via “Browse” instead of entering the path manually – this is also a common source of errors.
  • newhome only accepts images in the formats *.jpg, *jpeg, *.gif or *.png.

For searchers, it is clearer if all advertisements appear with a uniform title in the search results list, which neutrally lists the most important characteristics of the property:

Type of property and size (number of rooms for apartments and houses; area for commercial premises)

The title of the property is visible on the details page of the advert and serves as an attractive summary of the main features of the published property.

In editing under “Property” the marker is automatically set at the address you specified. However, you can move the automatically set marker under “Object” independently. Please follow these steps:

  1. Click “My newhome
  2. Click “My adverts
  3. Click “Manage listing
  4. Click “Edit and scroll down
  5. Click on the marker and keep the mouse button pressed and move the marker
  6. Click on “Go to publish
  7. Either select an optimisation to improve the visibility of the advert or switch to “publish without promotion“. It is important that you click “Publish” after this step.

If the booked period has expired or if you have deactivated the advertisement without archiving it, it will remain for a maximum of 30 days (retention period). After 20 days of inactivity you will be informed by email that your inactive listing will be deleted in 10 days unless it is activated or archived. You get a last reminder 1 day before deletion. After that, your advertisement will be irrevocably deleted.

If you decide to publish your object anonymusly, you can only be contacted via contact form. The interested party sees all the details about the property, but nothing of your personal data like your telefon number or your e-mail adress.

Place your listing anonymusly can be useful when you do not want to be contacted via telephone at any chance. The only way you can be contacted is through our contact form (you only receive e-mails).

You can check the statistics of your advert at any time. Just follow these steps to do so:

  1. Click “My newhome
  2. Click “My adverts
  3. Click “Manage listing
  4. Click “Statistics“.
  5. You can now see the statistics of your advert.

Edit listing

We are happy to explain to you how to edit an advertisement in a few steps:

  1. Click “My newhome
  2. Click “My adverts
  3. Click “Manage listing” an then “Edit
  4. You can now edit the details of your listing.

It is mandatory that you click “go to publish” after editing everything you need, because otherwise your edited data will not be publishes on

After having published your advert, you can still anonymise it. Please follow these steps:

  1. Click “My newhome
  2. Click “My adverts
  3. Click “Manage listing” an then directly on “Anonymize
  4. By clicking on “Anonymize” on the popup window, you confirm that you want to anonymize your listing with cost.
  5. Choose your form of payment.
  6. Accept our General Terms & Conditions after you have read them.
  7. After you click “CHF XXX Pay” you will be redirected to your chosen payment method and your listing will now be published anonymously.

If you edit an existing listing, change something about it and publish it again,it will be “under review” again after the changes have been published.

The original advert remains in the status “active”  and is still visible to searchers. This ensures that your advert can be found by interested parties even while changes are being made.

You can reactivate an inactive advertisement in a few steps:

  1. Click “My newhome
  2. Click “My adverts
  3. Click “Manage listing” an then “Activate
  4. Choose a duration and click “Next
  5. Either choose a promotion or switch to “publish without promotion” and click “publish
  6. After your payment, your listing will be sent to examination and if everything is correct, your listing will be published.

We do not offer the option to pause a listing. You can deactivate your listing at any time and reactivate it as desired during your chosen duraction. If you would like to keep it for a longer period of time, archiving is necessary. 

A deactivated (inactive) listing will be stored in your useraccount for 30 days. If you do not reactivate or archive it, it will automatically and irrevocably deleted.

a Flyer is a one sided PDF document that displays the key data of your advertisement. You can decide whether you want to create the flyer with or without a QR code (with a direct link to the advertisement on

The dossier is a complete documentation of your advertisement, with all data, images and texts.

To create a Flyer or Dossier, follow these steps:

  1. Click “My newhome
  2. Click “My adverts
  3. Click “Manage listing” 
  4. Now either click “Flyer” and choose which layout you prefer (portrait or landscape) and if you wish to have a QR Code with the direct link or click “Dossier“.

Your document will automatically be downloaded to your computer.

If you have made changes to your advertisement that you can only see in your user account but not on, you may have only saved the advertisement. However, if you want to publish the changes to, you must publish your changes by clicking “go to publish“.

Archive listings

If you want to keep your listing for any later publications, you can archive it. Your listing then will be archived as it is for the next 5 years.
To archive your listing, it must have been active at least once and proceed as following:

  1. Click “My newhome
  2. Click “My adverts
  3. Click “Manage listing” and then click “Archive
  4. By clicking “Archive” on the popup window, you confirm that you want to archive your listing with cost.
  5. Choose your form of payment.
  6. Accept our General Terms & Conditions after you have read them.
  7. After you click “CHF XXX Pay” you will be redirected to your chosen payment method and your listing is archived now.


In the archive, you will find your archived listings. Follow these steps to access the archive:

  1. Click “My newhome
  2. Click “My adverts
  3. Switch the Storage from “Not archived” to “Archived

If you need your advertisement again, you can reactivate your archived advertisement. The following instructions will help you:

  1. Click “My newhome
  2. Click “My adverts
  3. Switch the Storage from “Not archived” to “Archived
  4. Click “Reactivate” on the listing that you would like to publish again
  5. You wont see your listing any more. You now have to switch storage again to “Not archived
  6. You now see your reactivated listing in the status “inactive”
  7. By clicking “Manage listing” you can now either “Activate” your listing directly or you can “Edit” it and publish it again after finishing.


Increase the visibility of a listing

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee how many inquiries you will receive.
The number of views and with this the number of requests really depends on the property type, location and season.

In case you receive only a few or none requests, it could be because of the following reasons:

  • The design of your advert
  • The photos have a bad quality
  • The description is not clear enough for the searchers

Here are some hacks on how to design your advert:

  • Choose a title and description that’s simple but interesting
  • Add the complete address
  • Use a detailed description which broadens the appeal of your property
  • Add additional documents like the floor plan and the documentation
  • Use good quality photos and pay attention to the order
  • Add the description in several languages

With our additional services like e.g. different kinds of promotions, you can highlight your advert and therefore generate more views.

For a virtual tour, the entire property is captured in pictures by our photographer and then edited so that a potential interested party can already walk through the property in the advertisement as if they were on site. This strengthens the first impression in contrast to pure picture

Our photographer will take professional images of your property for you. These are edited so that your property is shown in the best light.
In addition, the pictures can also be edited so that furniture is added virtually, so that prospective buyers can already get an idea of what the lived-in property might look like.

If you want to highlight not only the object, but also the surroundings and/or the view, drone shots are ideally suited for this.

With the TOP promotion, your ad always appears as one of the first in the search results and receives the TOP seal. This means your ad will be seen more often.

With the HIGHLIGHT promotion, your advertisement will also appear as one of the first in the hit list. But in addition, it will be highlighted in pink, receive the HIGHLIGHT seal and thus attract even more interest.

With the SPECIAL promotion, your ad will not only appear in the respective hit list, but also above the hit list for every search made within a 15 kilometre radius of your ad. This will draw the attention of interested parties to your ad who might not have considered including this region as well. With the SPECIAL promotion, your ad also receives the SPECIAL seal.

Finding your desired property quickly and easily:

    1. Open
    2. Select “Rent” or “Buy“.
    3. Enter a postcode, a town or the Immocode* or search with our travel time tool
    4. If you would like to not only search for a postcode or a town, but also in the surrounding area, you can, if you wish, also click on “Radius” and define a search radius.
    5. Now you can narrow down your search even more via Refine search” if you wish.
    6. Click on “Show search results” to see the search results.
    7. With a click on the object you can see more details about the respective advert.

We are pleased that you have found a suitable property. It’s best to contact the provider directly.
You can do this easily in the advertisement on the right-hand side using the pre-filled contact form (you can also change all the data if necessary) or, if activated by the provider, you can have the telephone number displayed at the end of the advertisement and contact the provider directly by telephone.

You can easily create a search subscription in a few steps:

  1. Search for properties according to your chosen criteria.
  2. Click “Create an alert” on the respective hit list
  3. Name your search subscription.
  4. Click “Create” and you will receive an e-mail every time a new property matching your search criteria is published.

You can also retrieve your search subscription results online. Simply go to “Search Subscription” on the home page or via the user account under “My newhome” > “Search Subscription“.

If your preferences or requirements for the property search have changed, you can easily adjust your subscription:

  1. Open
  2. Click on “Search subscription” in the upper right corner.
  3. Select “Edit search subscription
  4. Change the filters (you can also change the city).
  5. Select “Save alert“.
  6. You can chose a new title for the subscription and update the e-mail address.
  7. Hit “Save alert” to confirm the modifications.

You have found your desired property and no longer need the search subscription? You can delete it as follows:

Via email: 

Simply click on “Delete search subscription” in the notification email that indicates a new hit. Please note that your search subscription will be permanently deleted once you click on this field.

In the user account:

  1. Click on “Search subscription“.
  2. Click on “Delete search subscription” next to the search subscription you no longer need. Please note that your search subscription will be permanently deleted once you click on this field.


newhome operates digitally and therefore sends invoices exclusively by email.


You will find all payment information and documents related to the invoices both in the corresponding email and in your user account (“My newhome” > “Invoices“).

You are welcome to set up an import interface in a few steps. The following instructions will help you:

  1. Click “My newhome
  2. Click “Service
  3. Click “Import interfaces
  4. Chose the transmission format of the software you use and choose the software. In case your software isn’t shown in the dropdown, please choose “Standard” 
  5. The recipient error log is the way to inform you in case something doesn’t work with an import and what exactly it is that wouldn’t work.
    • Click on “Activate the sending of error logs” to receive these notifications via e-mail
